Jonathan Givony: 1991-born Turkish 7-footer Sertac Sanli will make himself eligible for the 2012 NBA draft, his agent @MiskoRaznatovic informs us. Sportando

As reported by Jonathan Givony, Josep Franch will make himself eligible for the 2012 NBA Draft. The Spanish player born in 1991 is with UCAM Murcia with whom he averages 8.1ppg and 2.4apg in ACB. Sportando

Not too long ago, it appeared that Alabama Junior forward Tony Mitchell was not sure whether he was going to attempt to transfer to another school and play out his upcoming Senior season or declare for the 2012 NBA Draft. One thing was certain – after his multiple suspensions, he was not going to be staying with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The questions were put aside when he declared for the NBA Draft and then hired Todd Ramasar of BDA Sports. Mitchell put up good numbers in his Junior season (while he was permitted to step foot onto the court).

Mark Lyons Will Not Return To Xavier

Xavier Musketeers redshirt junior guard Mark Lyons will not return for his senior season, the school announced Monday.

Greenburg Out As Coach of Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech men’s basketball coach Seth Greenberg has been fired. Athletic director Jim Weaver made the announcement in a press conference Monday afternoon, declaring that the program “needed to go in another direction,” and had therefore terminated Greenberg’s contract.

Larry Brown Is Anxious To Get Back On The Court

The 71-year-old Hall of Famer agreed to take over the SMU program last week and said Monday he wanted to get back to teaching the game of basketball. “I just think being a college coach, you’re really a teacher and that’s something that I love to do,” Brown said Monday. “I don’t love games, but I love practice.
