One of the West general managers said Davis “is probably going to be better than Blake Griffin,” and his GM colleague upped the ante by saying he expects him to be better than 14-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett. “There’s not one doubt in my mind that he’s going to be way better than Blake Griffin,” the second GM said. “I don’t even think it’s going to be close. Larry Brown certainly has a high opinion of the soon-to-be first overall pick in the NBA Draft.
The former NBA coach and newly appointed head coach at SMU, believes that the 2012 Player of the Year, Anthony Davis, will live up to all of the hype and then some. Brown, when asked about the Kentucky star, made one of the boldest predictions in recent memory. “The team that gets him, they’re going to win over 50 games,” said the Hall of Famer, “He’s that good.”
