I’m hearing Harrison Barnes may be in second place on their wish list. Apparently, MJ is a fan. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Bradley Beal are in the mix, too, though I’m told MKG didn’t blow anyone away in his workout for the Bobcats on Monday and also hurt his back a little. ESPN.com

The Wizards really need shooting, which should give Beal or Barnes a leg up. But I continue to hear that Kidd-Gilchrist remains the favorite. It’s very close. ESPN.com

Would it be harder on the father or the son? “Both,” Austin said. “Because we’re both very competitive. I get everything from him. Obviously. He’s my dad. It would be different and be tough. Fournier is 6-foot-7 with a nice shooting touch and plenty of confidence. A deal for Evans has been much speculated upon everywhere. But the Kings are said to want a lot and would hardly add the No. 5 pick with him. Maybe you get the pick for Noah. Hardly Evans and the pick. Maybe you get Evans and the pick for Noah and Deng, which would be ridiculous for the Bulls to do. It makes little sense for either side. NBA.com

“Chicago has great basketball players,” Davis said Thursday at the NBA predraft combine at the UIC Pavilion. “We all just work hard and love the game. I know a lot of kids are going to look up to me. I’m going to try to be a positive role model. A lot of little kids stand outside my house with a basketball and ask ‘Can I hoop in your backyard.’ ” Chicago Tribune
